LAFFA BREAD
We first had this flatbread in Israel and fell in love with it. A bit like pita bread but fluffier and chewier, itâs really easy to cook on a fire and great served as part of a barbecue spread. It also works as a standalone dish âpizzaâ style (see opposite â you can also just follow the first part of that recipe to get amazing barbecued garlic bread).
4g/â oz/generous 1 tsp easy bake yeast
1 tbsp white sugar
375ml/13fl oz/1½ cups + 2 tbsp warm water
560g/1¼lb/4 cups strong white bread flour, plus extra for dusting
salt
2 tbsp olive oil, plus a little extra for greasing and optional dipping
